What Is Septoplasty?
Septoplasty is a (typically) outpatient surgical procedure that’s performed in order to fix a deviated nasal septum. A deviated septum occurs when the cartilage that separates your nostrils is out of position. This can cause you breathing problems, sinus issues, nosebleeds, and pain.
Septoplasty corrects the alignment of your septum so that airflow is improved through the septum.
Most people find that septoplasty improves their nasal symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, caused by a deviated septum. The level of improvement you can expect with septoplasty may vary, and our ENT specialists will discuss this with you what Septoplasty could do for you.
