I’m going to throw a couple of names out there that the Royal Oak community should recognize. Howard Stern, Khloe Kardashian, Kaley Cuoco, Jennifer Aniston, Ashley Tisdale, John Stamos, and Lisa Kudrow. Aside from being celebrities with successful careers, can you guess what these stars have in common?
If you guessed ‘rhinoplasty surgery,’ then you hit it right on the nose! Some of them did it to repair a deviated septum, while others did it to improve the appearance of their nose (and face, in general). Either way, it’s true – all seven of the celebrities listed above underwent surgery to repair or enhance their nose.
So, what is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty surgery, unofficially known as a ‘nose job’ or ‘nose reshaping,’ is a sculpting procedure that allows a surgeon to change the structure of the nose by altering the cartilage and bone underneath the skin. It’s one of the most popular surgeries in the US, with more than 350,000 people doing it every year.
The goal behind rhinoplasty surgery is to achieve a more symmetrical and harmonious facial appearance, while also maintaining and/or improving the primary function of the nose – which is breathing. The surgery can take anywhere from one hour to several hours, but the end result could drastically improve your life.
The nose isn’t the first thing someone notices about you – that award often goes to the eyes – but it does hold the unique advantage of sitting directly in the middle of the face. Because of this, the nose has a way of bringing all the other facial features together – giving the face a uniform and balanced appearance.
Most people are fine with their nose, but others have an image of what they wish their nose looked like. Making the nostrils smaller or larger, changing the shape of the nasal tip, altering the size, shape, or angle of the nose, and enhancing the appearance of the nasal bridge – the opportunities are endless!
So, how can The Rontal Clinic help? Well, let’s just say we know the rhinoplasty procedure like the back of our hand (in this case, our nose). We understand how important the nose is to our patient's confidence and self-esteem, so let us help you regain a sense of comfort and pride in your facial appearance.
Here are some reasons you should consider The Rontal Clinic for your rhinoplasty journey.
At The Rontal Clinic, we’ve seen (and treated) it all over the past 50+ years. We initially opened in 1972 and have established ourselves as a leader in the Farmington Hills and Detroit area in the decades since. Not only that, but our practice brings together four of the brightest minds in the otolaryngology community.
In 1972, Dr. Michael Rontal and Dr. Eugene Rontal (two brothers) came together to form one of the most talented duos in the ENT world. Dr. Daniel Rontal joined the team in 2005, and Dr. Matthew Rontal joined in 2010 – adding to the family legacy. From family-run to family-friendly, The Rontal Clinic is tailored for the entire family.
We live in a modern world that’s filled with incredible technology, so why not use it to our advantage? At The Rontal Clinic, we take pride in our ability to combine our traditional values with modern technology and state-of-the-art equipment – ensuring our patients are given everything they need to thrive in life.
We understand that most of our patients are already under a lot of stress and anxiety when they arrive at our practice. That’s why we’re dedicated to making the process as easy and pain-free as possible – even after they leave. With your statement code, you can conveniently pay your ENT bill online at any time.
There are two primary types of rhinoplasty surgery – open and closed. The open approach is a little more invasive but allows for greater visualization, control, detail, and preciseness. On the other hand, the closed approach is much less invasive but restricts your surgeon’s access to the nasal structure.
When most people hear the term ‘nose job,’ they immediately picture a nose that doesn’t fit the rest of the face and has an unnatural appearance. At The Rontal Clinic, we want our patients to leave happy. That’s why we listen to our patient’s wants – that way, we can sculpt a nose that’s perfect for anyone’s face.
To achieve the best results with rhinoplasty surgery, patients must follow the proper aftercare and recovery instructions. In some cases, a follow-up or secondary adjustment might be needed within the first postoperative year. Don’t worry – we can help you maintain your desired look in the future!
Are you ready to lower that hump along your nasal bridge? Do you want a straighter or more uniform nose? Are you having a hard time breathing normally? Have you recently broken your nose or suffered a similar nose injury? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of those questions, then you’ve come to the right place.
The Rontal Clinic proudly serves the Farmington Hills and Royal Oak, MI community with best-in-class ENT care – including rhinoplasty surgeries. If your nose isn’t a perfect fit for your face, we can help you regain that sense of confidence and self-esteem that has been absent in your life – contact us today!
